We’ve published our financial results for 2024.
For 150 years, we’ve been helping people get onto the housing ladder. We continue to push for change in the housing market and innovate our product range to help many first time buyers. In 2024, our Income Plus and Reach mortgages helped people overcome the difficult barriers to home ownership.
A strong financial performance means we can continue to invest in the service we provide, as we work together to help people own a place to call home.
2024 highlights include:
• Welcoming 37,200 new mortgage members to the Society – totalling a record £5.7 billion in gross lending.
• Helping 17,600 first time buyers onto the ladder, using innovative products like Income Plus.
• Our second-highest year ever of Shared Ownership completions.
• Total Society membership growing to a record high of 991,000.
• Underlying profit levels of £187.5m, enabling us to invest in the service and resources we provide you, as well as improving our branches and digital services for your clients.
